This past Sunday on July 28, 2013 my handsome little boy turned 4 years old. It doesn’t seem possible that T is now 4 years old, seems like time has flown by in the blink of an eye. This year we just did a little picnic at home with family over and T’s little girlfriend, didn’t do anything spectacular because he didn’t have any friends that would have been able to actually come over. Myself & D just still can’t believe how much T has grown in 4 years, especially the past almost 1 year he has progressed so much with his speech and everything. We are super proud of how our son is growing up and its so cute seeing how he is becoming more himself and turning into a little geek just like his parents.
On Saturday July 27, 2013 we went to our local 4-H fair, T had been waiting all week to go and was so excited when the time came to finally be able to go. This year he was able to actually play games to understand them and he got to ride a few kiddie rides. He had so much fun, and he did pretty good on the games, he won about a total of 4 prizes, the one he got a big inflatable spiderman. There was one game we are all still shocked about, everyone knows the balloon and dart game, hit 3 balloons get a prize. Well T really wanted to play so we let him, he threw 2 darts (not at the same time) left handed and under handed and hit 2 balloons!! Then the 3rd dart he missed, but the guy told T to say pop and he did and the guy gave him a prize, the guy said he was a grandpa and he knew how little kids were, we thought that was so cute and nice of the gentlemen. We are just shocked he threw 2 darts lefty and under handed and actually hit the balloons, we have never seen anyone do that before. That night me & D decorated T’s birthday cakes, thankfully Friday night I baked the cakes then let them set in the fridge til I was ready to decorate. I LOVE how his Thomas & friends cake came out, I think I did a pretty good job at it, D made a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cake for him too.
T’s birthday went so well, the weather was nice and held up for us and didn’t rain til later that night. My family was able to get along for a few hours and that made the day even better. D’s mother & step-dad made it up from PA but unfortunately his dad & step-mom couldn’t make it up. T got so many gifts for his birthday it was crazy, heck the kid made out as good as he does when it comes to Christmas time lol. The only thing I wish was better was the little boy that lives next door, I wish his parents would have kept him inside, he was just so annoying and kept getting into everything of T’s.
So overall T had a great day for his birthday, I still can’t believe my baby boy is 4 years old, just one more year and he will be going to public school for Kindergarten, man does time fly, why can’t life have a pause button so we can enjoy T being a little boy still, cause soon and he will be older and I won’t have the cuddling time we still do every now and then, and won’t be able to pick him up and just give him a big hug. Happy 4th birthday to my wonderful/geeky baby boy, you have progressed so much in such little years and you still continue to amaze us on how smart you are. Never give up on imagination and always be yourself, mommy and daddy love you very much!
