Great Grandparents

I grew up around my great grandparents, but unfortunately died years before I had T. I wish they were alive to meet him because they would just love him so much. But thankfully T gets to be around his great grandparents has a child. He is the 1st great grandson so he gets quite spoiled by them. T loves them so much and thinks it’s awesome when he gets to spend the night at their house.
This picture is from the Christmas party that was at the VFW that Ts great grandpa signed him up for. I told them.before we left that I wanted a photo of them. I honestly don’t have many of the 3 of them, and if anything was to ever happen we’ll always have our memories & photos. It’s always fun seeing T spend time with them & it does them good to, to have someone like T around.

Thanksgiving 2016

For this year we had Thanksgiving at our house, but it was only myself, D, T, my ma & my brother. The rest of the family had a dinner the week before without us because A) there was people there that if I showed up my mouth would run & possible fight would happen B) well that’s kind of personal. But the whole family agreed to do Thanksgiving like that this year, but Christmas I guess we might be getting together who knows, this family is a bag full of crazies.

My brother checking out my 3DS xl, of course T is right there next to him

My brother came out hours before dinner & T was so excited to see his uncle. My brother was having fun checking out my 3DS, then got all excited because I said we had a 3 in 1 that has Nintendo, Super Nintendo & Sega in it, so we dug that out with the game cartridges & boy it felt we were kids again playing the games.

Nothing fancy looking but man the food was yummy

D cooked Thanksgiving dinner & it came out pretty good 🙂 Of course T had to show his ass & take forever eating but he did manage to eat his food. Then we just all sat & had a good time. Overall, Thanksgiving this year was good, no listening to who do this & that, who is in more pain, so on & so on.

Bye Bye Cast!!!

So back in September T had fallen at school and broken his arm, boy that’s an experience I do not want to re-live again. Always making sure the arm was covered when he showered, the smell that would come from the cast & how much it hurt when you’d get hit by it. But, of course we’d do it all over again if we had to, but let’s hope we don’t lol.

On November 2, 2016 was an exciting day for T. It was the day his cast was finally coming off, he had it on for about 5 weeks and his bones healed up great!! I personally have never seen a cast be taken off & obviously neither has T, so when it came to time it was pretty awesome. The doctor showed that it wouldn’t hurt, he turned on the machine & put the blade on his hand & showed it didn’t cut, so T was okay with it. It took maybe 2 mins to get the cast to come off. T got all excited that it was off, but said it felt weird & light, mainly because he didn’t have the heavy cast on anymore. Some how he managed to get a corn kernel in his cast, because when the cast came off there was a piece of corn, doctor got a good laugh out of it.

It took about 1-2 days for T to get re-adjusted to not having his cast on, but once he got better he was back to his normal dare devil self. We asked T if he learned his lesson & if he’s planning on doing it again & he said he won’t be doing it ever again because he don’t want another cast.

Happy Halloween!!

T as Capitan America

Halloween this year was a lot of fun, at first didn’t think D was going to be able to go due to work but he decided to call off 🙂

Group photo

A friend of ours who is like a sister & her son came over then we went out trick-or-treating. We only hit a few streets but the boys did get a decent amount of candy. Of course this being western new york, it was cold when we started & kept getting colder.

My aunt & grams passing out candy @ my grams place

Later after our friend & son went home T wanted to watch “Spookley the Square Pumpkin”. Trent had a good time except at one house, the lady was a bit older & took forever passing out candy. So the kids had to wait & wait, once it was their turn the lady asked T if he was banging his bucket on the stairs railing, he said yes & she said well you don’t get any candy. Seriously?! These kids are waiting forever & just being kids & you’re going to do that? Poor T he ran to us crying, he’s just bad & can’t have candy. Of course other parents are looking at us giving us looks, like really people, it was bullshit, but whatever we left bitching & D was highly pissed off. It took a while before T was calmed down & back to himself, it really bothered him. Needless to at we know where to not go next year. Atleast he was able to finish his Halloween on a good note with chicken nuggets & a movie 🙂

We hope you all had a fun/safe Halloween. Have you ever had a problem like we did this year?!

Let’s enjoy the day, homework later

We are currently sitting on our front porch enjoying the nice day. It’s one of those days were you just wanna be outside instead of doing homework. So today T and myself are enjoying the afternoon then later we’ll get to his homework. Besides his homework is so easy, read 15 mins, math flashcards and spelling.

Are there days you let your kid(s) do their homework later so they can enjoy a nice day?

Bye Bye Baby Tooth!!

photogrid_1474221237768

That’s right, my little man lost his first tooth yesterday (09.18.2016)!!!!! He has had 2 loose teeth and the one was really loose for about a week. I went to check his tooth for him and boy that sucker was ready to come out, so I kept telling him to wiggle it, after some wiggling and eating & Gigi taking a popsicle (those ones in the plastic that kids complain their hands get cold) and telling him to bite down and she’d pull the popsicle out and the 2nd time his tooth came out. He didn’t complain about any pain and didn’t complain about the little blood until I told him to rinse his mouth, he freaked a little but was calm after it stopped. Of course this mumma teared up a little bit 😦 because my baby boy is growing up more now that he’s loosing his baby teeth. He was so excited and proud that his tooth fell out. We told him he had to put the tooth under his pillow for the tooth-fairy, and when he went to bed he did and made sure he didn’t sleep near the pillow so nothing happened to it. He woke up today freaking out saying the tooth-fairy visited him and took his tooth and gave him $5! Some people were surprised he is just now losing his teeth because he’s 7 years old, we just kept saying the dentist says he has strong teeth and it would probably happen around 7 years old.

I just can’t get over it, T has lost his first baby tooth and already got another loose one.

Back to School!!!

photogrid_1473384681570

That’s right it’s every parents favorite time of year, when the kiddos go back to school!! September 7, 2016 was T’s first day of school. He was excited and nervous that morning, he goes “my tummy hurts” I said do you feel a little uncomfortable about going to school? He says “yes”, I said hunny that’s cause you’re nervous about starting school, you’ll be okay 🙂

photogrid_1473248241036

This year T started 2nd grade, so that means he’ll be up on the 2nd floor of the school, so I can’t blame him for being nervous. When he got home from school, he just kept going on and on about his first day. He was saying his teacher was funny and that he got to see all his friends from 1st grade when they went out to play. He was really excited because he got to see his girlfriend and had to tell me how she has a Pikachu backpack and she liked his Pokemon backpack.

I can’t believe my baby boy is in the 2nd grade already! Time sure does fly when you have a child, I can only imagine what it’s like with multiple children. I’m just glad he has a good teacher and had a wonderful first day of school 🙂
